Jamile Marques, development and innovation director, will mediate debate

 

Supporter of Smart City Expo Curitiba 2019, which takes place on March 21 and 22, at Expo Barigui, in the capital of Paraná, ABES will be present at the panel “Planning Sustainable and Resilient Cities”, within the area that will have sessions on development of innovative and inclusive cities, in which she will be represented by Jamile Sabatini Marques, the entity's promotion and innovation director.
 
Jamile will moderate the debate, scheduled for March 21, at 3:15 pm, which aims to contemplate practical examples of sustainable urban planning from a wide range of factors intertwined with sustainability: development of urban utilities for environmental quality (energy, water, waste), urban planning, infrastructure, etc.
 
The following will participate in the panel: Firmino Soares Filho, mayor of Teresina (PI); Ana Cristina Wollmann Zornig Jayme, Fundraising and Investment Management Advisor at the Municipal Planning, Finance and Budget (SEPLAD), Curitiba (PR); and Regina Cohen, Coordinator of the Accessibility Commission of CAU/RJ and representative of Brazil at GAATES – Global Alliance on Accessible Technologies and Environments.

Smart City Expo Curitiba 2019 will have four main themes: enabling technologies for smart cities; governance in digital cities; creative, sustainable and human cities; and planning innovative and inclusive cities.
 
Among the novelties of this edition are the doubling of the exhibition area with solutions for smart cities and the expansion of the congress area, which will host more parallel shows and will have a capacity for 1,600 people. Another novelty will be the business roundtables aimed at businessmen and executives from the most diverse areas. The partnership with the National Front of Mayors (FNP) will also be maintained to receive mayors from all over Brazil at the event.
 
iCities, a company from Curitiba specialized in solutions for smart cities, is responsible for organizing the Smart City Expo Curitiba in partnership with the City Hall. The forum is endorsed by FIRA Barcelona, a public consortium formed by the Municipality of Barcelona, the Government of Catalonia and the Chamber of Commerce of Barcelona, and which is the organizer of the Smart City Expo World Congress, the world's largest event on smart cities, which takes place every year. in Barcelona.
