ABES and associates sharing ethical standards

The ABES Integrity Program, launched in March 2018, also included updating the Code of Ethics and Conduct, the development and implementation of a Policy of Interaction with Public Agents, updating internal routines, team training and creation of the post of Compliance Officer.

“In addition to activities within the entity itself, we have encouraged companies to develop their own integrity programs and, recently, we have created and made available the An Ethical Company Program, a new service for the associate”, explains Carolina Marzano, Compliance Officer at ABES.

In a first phase of the Uma Empresa Ethics Program, the associates, in addition to counting on the support of the Compliance Officer and the entity's Legal Department to develop their programs, will have at their disposal a Reporting Channel, free of charge, as provided for in Decree no. 8,420/2015.

The next step is to conduct activities focused on general data protection laws, both Brazilian and international, which deal with the Privacy and Security of Personal Data, demanding new standards of conduct in organizations.

ABES must apply for the Seal “Pro-Ethical Company”, issued by the Ministry of Transparency and the Comptroller General of the Union, which publicly recognizes organizations that are committed to implementing measures aimed at preventing, detecting and remedying acts of corruption and fraud.
