Privacy Summit Brazil – GDPR will be held on the 21st in São Paulo

 

Data is increasingly essential for innovation and the improvement of relationships between consumers, governments and companies in all sectors, which creates new challenges and risks to be overcome. Therefore, ABES, IBM and Opice Blum will hold, on May 21, the Privacy Summit Brazil – GDPR, at IBM's headquarters in São Paulo.
 
The event is free and the general objective is to discuss privacy in a world without borders, the protection of personal data in Brazil and the implications of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), of the European Union, which enters into force on May 24 , among other matters.
 
The program will be opened by Antonio Martins, general manager of IBM Brazil, and will feature the lecture “New international regulations and the impact on business”, given by João Ferreira Pinto, from the Antas da Cunha Ecija Office and Chair IAPP, guest who comes from Portugal for the event.
 
Also noteworthy are the participations of Francisco Camargo, president of ABES; Renato Opice Blum, Coordinator of Insper's Digital Law Program; and Ana Paula Bialer, Public Policy Consultant, from the Information Technology Industry Council.
