support and incentive to technological development

ABES has just signed an agreement with the Associação Sul-Riograndense for Support to Software Development – SOFTSUL with the objective of improving the performance of entities and their partners, offering support, incentives and legal guidance to associated companies.

With about 250 members, SOFTSUL was created more than 20 years ago with the main objective of managing the SOFTEX Program in Rio Grande do Sul, in addition to encouraging socioeconomic development and increasing the competitiveness of companies in the productive sector of Information Technology and Communication (ICT).

This is the fourth agreement that ABES holds this year between technology parks and associations with the aim of strengthening the technology sector in the country. Only in the first semester, partnerships were closed with the Belo Horizonte technological park (BH-Tec); Digital Port of Pernambuco and Itaipu Technological Park.

“SOFTSUL is an important representative of the sector in the southern region of the country. With this approach, we want to join forces in joint work in terms of national representativeness and contribute to the development of the sector, leading to opportunities for the entity. SOFTSUL will also add with its know-how, through a joint work agenda that includes support and encouragement for the development of technological innovation ”, explains Jorge Sukarie, president of ABES.

According to José Antônio Antonioni, president of SOFTSUL, this agreement brings the opportunity for the entities to exercise even more their role in making the actions of collective interest reinforce the economic activity of the associates. “The agreement with ABES has the objective of complementing the activities of the entities through collaborative work, creating benefits to qualify the associated companies. This reciprocal support can optimize resources and generate greater reach of information for a greater number of companies that participate in the opportunities offered to the sector, creating new business and positive results for both companies and the country ”, he says.
