ABES signs Strategic Cooperation Agreement with the Chinese ZGC Group during the Brazil-China Business Seminar

The agreement is part of the strategy of the new ABES management to internationalize the entity as a way of supporting the expansion of associated companies abroad.

ABES – Brazilian Association of Software Companies took another decisive step in its internationalization strategy by signing a Strategic Cooperation Agreement with ZGC Group – ZhongGuanCun, the main technological innovation hub in China. The signing took place during the Brazil-China Business Seminar, promoted by APEX Brasil, in Beijing.

The agreement was formalized by ABES CEO Andriei Gutierrez, in the presence of the vice-president of the entity's Board of Directors, Rodolfo Fücher, and representatives of ZGC Group and ZGC International. The partnership aims to foster cooperation in strategic areas such as Artificial Intelligence, data infrastructure, market expansion and talent training, promoting a Sino-Brazilian bridge with global reach in the technology sector.

“This agreement reinforces ABES’ commitment to promoting global connections and opening new opportunities for the Brazilian software and technology sector,” highlighted Andriei Gutierrez.

The ZGC is responsible for managing the Zhongguancun Science Park, known as the “Chinese Silicon Valley”, which is home to some of the most innovative companies in the world and is a reference in research and development of cutting-edge technologies. ABES, in turn, represents more than 2,000 companies in the technology sector, covering approximately 85% of the Brazilian software and services market. The entity acts as a link between the productive sector, the government and civil society, with the purpose of building a more digital and less unequal Brazil.

Internationalization Strategy

The agreement signed with ZGC International is part of the strategy of the new ABES management to internationalize the entity as a way of supporting the expansion of associated companies abroad.

“The rapprochement with the Chinese was an opportunity that emerged in the wake of bilateral relations with China. We also intend to advance strategic partnerships with American, European and Latin American entities,” said Andriei Gutierrez.

In addition to approaching relevant global innovation ecosystems, ABES has been in talks with APEX Brasil to train and support Brazilian companies to seek external markets, within the Born Global philosophy – which encourages businesses to be born with an international vocation from their origin.
