Startups linked to BR Angels will have access to the ABES Startup Internship Program with the objective of contributing to a more digital and less unequal Brazil

São Paulo, June 24, 2020 - ABES, the Brazilian Association of Software Companies, has just closed a partnership with BR Angels - the company responsible for delivering intellectual capital to B2B and B2B2C projects in Brazil. The initiative aims to provide further support to companies participating in the ABES Startup Internship Program, a project that provides these companies with services such as legal-tax consultancy, compliance infrastructure, LGPD diagnosis, health and dental plans, market research and participation in committees on relevant industry topics. This initiative aims to contribute to the strengthening of entrepreneurship in the Brazilian technology sector and to bring them closer to the mission of making the country more digital and less unequal.

"Many businesses need support and encouragement to overcome market challenges, and our mission is to increasingly encourage business management through a network of services that are important for the success of startups", comments Jamile Sabatini, Director of Innovation and Promotion of ABES.
For Orlando Cintra, CEO of BR Angels, joining the program has a lot to contribute to the IT segment. "We are satisfied with the closing of this partnership and with the possibility of collaborating with this program. We believe that this is, without a doubt, a great opportunity to support the generation of new entrepreneurs in our country and contribute to the digitalization of the country", reveals the executive.

The program lasts for six months and benefits are made available to startups through incubators, accelerators, or partner investment funds. "Brazil has approximately 149 million active Internet users, the fifth largest market in the world. However, according to the World Economic Forum, we are in 71st position in terms of competitiveness, among 141 countries. Our goal is to contribute to the growth of these businesses and help them to overcome the complexity of the market through our 33 years of experience. They are important agents in strengthening the innovation and dynamism of the Brazilian economy ", comments ABES president, Rodolfo Fücher.

To participate in the program, the startup must be linked to BR Angel or some other partner of the ABES Startup Internship Program and follow the guidelines available on the website http://www.abessoftware.com.br/associados/programa-startup-internship.
