RPI and TecVitória become part of the entity's partner list

Brazil ranks 64th in the Global Innovation Index, out of a list of 142 countries, according to a study by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) with the University of Comell (USA) and the French business school Insead, released in 2013. To change this scenario, the Innovation and Promotion Board of the Brazilian Association of Software Companies (ABES) has just closed a partnership with the Paulista Network of Innovation (RPI) and the Technology-Based Companies Incubator – TecVitória, through the “ABES Support for Incubators and Startups”. The objective of the alliance is to offer resources for innovation and promotion in order to encourage the growth and development of technology in the country.

The IT companies in the incubation phase accredited by these institutes are classified as micro-enterprises or startups and have an annual turnover of up to R$ 360 thousand. With the agreement, they will be able to join ABES under special conditions, with exemption from affiliation fees and a discount of 50% on the lowest monthly fee in force, for a period of up to two years.

With the partnership, the expectation is that most incubated companies will have access to all services offered by the association as legal support; consultancy to support promotion and innovation, public and private programs for growth and development; in addition to integration with the main players in the market.

“As a representative entity of the software sector in Brazil, we want to get closer and closer to these entities to support and encourage the development of technology in our country. By the end of the year, we expect to close more agreements like these”, highlights Jamille Sabatini, director of Innovation and Development at ABES.

Launched in 2013, the “ABES Support Program for Incubators and Startups” sealed its first alliance with Cietec – Center for Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Technology (CIETEC).
