Encouraging Brazil's startup ecosystem is the main proposal of the new strategic partnership between ABES and Hub InovAtiva. The alliance aims to promote the country's innovation market, entrepreneurship and startups.
ABES, through its ABES STARTUP INTERNSHIP PROGRAM, will make all its know-how in the legal, regulatory, tax and marketing areas available to startups participating in InovAtiva. The initiative aims to help nascent companies focused on technological innovation to overcome the complexities of the Brazilian market, whether to start operations or to expand existing activities.
This new partnership between ABES and InovAtiva illustrates the different forms of strategic collaboration possible between sectoral entities and accelerators, to support innovation and economic development in the country. Furthermore, it highlights the fundamental role that the association can play in boosting the innovation ecosystem in the software and information technology segment, by offering strategic connections, operational support and qualification of teams and managers.
InovAtiva, in its 10 years of existence, has consolidated itself as one of the most important points of support for innovation across the country. The hub, which works to accelerate entrepreneurs and their innovative ideas, provides a series of services, such as: business mentoring, connection events, specialized content and much more. InovAtiva's numbers are impressive: there have been more than 5,100 services for startups and innovative business projects. Only through the national acceleration programs InovAtiva Brasil and InovAtiva de Impacto Socioambiental, more than 3,900 startups were accelerated. This, reaching entrepreneurs from more than 900 municipalities in all regions of Brazil, which makes InovAtiva the largest startup acceleration hub in Latin America.
How the partnership works
By joining the ABES STARTUP INTERNSHIP PROGRAM, the startup that is part of InovAtiva has the opportunity to take advantage of the services offered by ABES to its members, such as the relationship and business network, with the possibility of connecting with other members for joint business opportunities, participation in thematic committees, including the Startups Committee, information on funding lines and government financing, an exclusive platform for publicizing offers, as well as a complete compliance structure through the An Ethical Company Program, in addition to legal consultancy, issuance of certificates, among other services. This startup receives a special incentive through a reduction in the monthly associative contribution, according to the criteria that can be consulted in this page.
