Jorge Sukarie takes over as new president of the Brazilian Association of Software Companies for the next three years
 
Jorge Sukarie is the new president of ABES (Brazilian Association of Software Companies). The executive was chosen on March 26, in an election held by the association that also defined the new members of the executive board for the next three years and gave ownership of the annual renewal of 1/3 of the Deliberative Council. The former president of the association, Gérson Schmitt, assumes the role of president of the Council.

With more than 30 years of experience in the Technology sector, this is the second time that Sukarie has assumed the role of president of the association. His first term was from 2004 to 2007.

Founding partner and president of Brasoftware, a traditional Brazilian software reseller, Sukarie has a degree in Business Administration from the School of Business Administration of São Paulo – Fundação Getúlio Vargas, a postgraduate degree from the same institution, with an emphasis on Finance and Marketing and also has Specialization in Business Management at Harvard Business School in Boston (USA).
 
According to Jorge Sukarie, the objective of his management will be to maintain the main work fronts developed by the association, mainly with regard to promoting and supporting the Brazilian Software and Services Industry.
 
In recent years, ABES has been committed to protecting intellectual property, providing legal and legal guidance and defending a more appropriate sectoral model for the development of the sector. 
In 2013, the association launched several services, projects and programs to encourage the development of this market. With these new projects and services, the entity begins to expand access to information and the process of promoting growth, innovation and economic strengthening of the Brazilian software industry.
