Next Monday, March 28, the Smart City America Congress & Expo begins, the largest urban management congress in Latin America, which has the institutional support of ABES (Brazilian Association of Software Companies). The event will be held from March 28 to 30, at Expo Unimed, in Curitiba, Paraná.
 
According to its organizers, the event will receive panels and plenary sessions over the three days and will feature more than 80 mayors from 10 countries in Latin America, in addition to dozens of CEOs of large companies, to discuss how public and private administration they can contribute to the development of cities and improve the quality of life of citizens.
 
“For ABES, it is essential to support these initiatives that aim to evolve both the use and the development of technologies in society. Opening the discussion on these topics is an opportunity to understand the needs of the population and arrive at efficient solutions ”, says Jamile Sabatini Marques, director of Innovation and Promotion at ABES.
 
Side events are scheduled, such as the UN-Habitat agenda and Lincoln Institute of Land Policy, which will discuss issues related to urban financing, Public-Private Partnership and other associative models that seek to improve the quality of public services and urban infrastructure. There will also be an exhibition with companies that work with innovative projects and advanced technologies, sharing knowledge in an area of 4,500 m².
 
During the event, urban architecture, innovation and startups forums will take place, as well as relationship events such as business breakfast, cocktail and mayors' lunch.
