Agreement will allow startups incubated at Tecnopuc to access the benefits of the ABES Startup Internship program 

São Paulo, January 31, 2023 – ABES – Brazilian Association of Software Companies and the Tecnopuc signed a cooperation agreement and support for startups incubated or accelerated by the technologic Park belonging to the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul – PUCRS, through the ABES Startup Internship program.   

Tecnopuc is an ecosystem that involves public and private companies, research centers, startups and professional and business entities in an articulated community that collaborates for the development of innovative businesses. The organizations that make up the Park are of different sizes, markets and technologies, forming a diverse and rich community of companies and people. The environment provides the approximation of members of the companies of the Park and the University, from the INOVAPUCRS Network. Under the agreement, companies incubated at Tecnopuc will have access to the benefits of the ABES Startup Internship program, which aims to strengthen and promote entrepreneurship. Startups will have networking opportunities and ABES' more than 35 years of experience in the legal, regulatory, tax and marketing areas available to overcome the complexities present in the market, as well as benefit from training in compliance and ethics, and LGPD, among others. content and services.

And nothing fairer than presenting the companies incubated at Tecnopuc with some paths and insights for those seeking support and investments for their businesses”, declares Paulo Milliet Roque, President of ABES.

Rafael Chanin, leader of Tecnopuc Startups, also believes in the potential of the partnership. “Our mission is to be a vector of transformation for the University and society. Today, we form an ecosystem composed of 199 organizations, adding up to more than 6,200 people moving the Park every day. Maintaining an agreement with ABES, recognized for its representativeness in the Brazilian technological market, will boost the companies and startups that we currently raise to a new level of excellence”, he says. 

Under the terms of the agreement signed, Tecnopuc will also collaborate in the “Mobilization for the reduction of inequality”, a campaign launched by ABES, in partnership with ReUrbi and the Third Sector Observatory, with the support of the Weber Shandwick agency, which aims to support social inclusion projects that promote training in the digital area, through resources obtained from recycling IT equipment (notebooks, PCs, racks, etc.) discarded by companies that adhere to the initiative. The companies participating in the mobilization will contribute to 9 of the 17 SDGs (Social Development Goals) of the UN Global Compact, aligned with the best ESG practices (environmental, social and corporate governance).
