Interest in the BNDES credit line attracted 150 businessmen and IT professionals in São Paulo
 

 

ABES and BNDES promoted the launch, in the state of São Paulo, of the MPME Inovadora credit line, on September 18 at the headquarters of Desenvolvimento SP (Agência de Desenvolvimento Paulista), a São Paulo partnership for the project. The event attracted more than 150 entrepreneurs and IT professionals.
 
The new line of credit has the objective of serving small and medium-sized IT companies that wish to invest in innovative processes and innovative products and their implementation in the market.
 
André Medrado, an analyst at the BNDES' Information and Communication Technology Department, presented the new credit opportunity and detailed the conditions and requirements for entrepreneurs to apply for the funds.
 
Among the main attractions, the economist highlighted the possibility of financing 100% of financeable items with a limit of up to R$ 20 million, interest rate of 4% per year, grace period of up to 48 months and term of up to 120 months to pay (including the ). “All these items will be negotiated with Desenvolvimento SP, which will apply for these resources with the BNDES”, he explains.
 
For a company to be perceived as innovative, it will need to meet at least one of the required criteria, including: use of the BNDES Card for technology services; has received investment from an investment fund; have MPS.BR; be in a Technological Park; have participated in a business incubator; having software registered with the INPI, among other alternatives.
 
Medrado also stressed that businessmen should hurry to apply for financing, noting that the interest rate of 4% per year will only be in effect until the end of 2014. Emphasizing that this is a more agile line for releasing funds, the economist at BNDES mentioned that, in just over a month after the launch of MSME Inovadora in Santa Catarina, 11 operations have already been contracted, totaling R$ 26 million.
 
“I'm sure that most associates are able to meet the BNDES' requirements. We are confident that this line of credit will be able to effectively help companies in the sector to develop”, highlighted Jorge Sukarie, president of ABES, who also gave a presentation on the Brazilian software market at the time.
 
After the event, led by Gilberto Fioravante, Superintendent of Desenvolvimento SP, the participants were able to have individual consultations with the agency's analysts.
Also participating in the launch was Irecê Kauss, head of the Information and Communication Technology Department at BNDES; Cláudio Torres, executive director of Desenvolvimento SP; Edvar Júnior, executive coordinator of Softex Campinas; José Vidal, executive director of the Institute of Software Technology (ITS); Norio Nakashima, marketing director at Assespro, and Marco Aurélio Bergamini, director of the São Paulo Innovation Network (RPI).
