ABES announced the creation of the Secretariat of Committees, which will aim to align actions and provide an interface between all committees and work groups and the association's Board of Directors. To lead the new area, lawyer Carolina Marzano was appointed advisor to ABES Committees.

With a degree in Law from Universidade Mackenzie, a postgraduate degree from the Escola Superior de Advocacia da OAB/SP in Intellectual Property and specialized in Compliance from INSPER – Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa, Carolina has extensive experience in the ICT segment, as she works in ABES for 16 years, having dedicated himself to the area of Intellectual Property Protection.

Carolina reinforces the importance of centralized coordination and alignment for integrated management: “We will have better strategic direction, convergence of actions, structured planning, in addition to the effective dissemination of the work carried out by the committees, so that the associates have sufficient information to decide on the interested in participating as well. As coordinator of ABES Committees, I will have a great challenge ahead, which will be carried out with a lot of work and dedication".

In addition to developing actions to encourage the participation of companies in the committees, the new secretariat will be in charge of coordinating the meetings and managing their activities, which include training lectures, integration events between the committees, support to associates in the presentation of fundraising projects resources, among other activities.

Francisco Camargo, executive president of ABES, highlights that, in recent years, factors such as digital transformation, the growth of cyber threats, emerging technologies, the urgency of investments in innovation and regulatory and tax issues have led the entity to increase the number committees and working groups. “Now, we need to orchestrate these teams so that we can advance in the engagement and participation of associates, in addition to improving the presentation of proposals and the dialogue with the government and society”, he concluded.
