Artificial intelligence (AI) may generate investments of US$ 464 million (approximately R$ 2.4 billion, in direct conversion) to Brazil in 2021, according to an estimate by IDC, a consultancy specialized in market intelligence.
To help guide investments, we record the disclosure of the Brazilian Artificial Intelligence Strategy (EBIA) in April, with guidelines that will guide the actions of the Federal Government in the development of actions, in the various strands, that stimulate research, innovation and the development of solutions in Artificial Intelligence (AI), as well as the conscious, ethical and pro use for a better future.
Showing that AI is the theme of the moment, the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovations (MCTI) has just released the first six Applied Research Centers in Artificial Intelligence - a project conducted in partnership with Fapesp and CGI.br.
In line with this changing scenario, ABES invites representatives of its associates to launch the Intelligence Working Group (WG) Artificial, linked to the Regulatory Committee, which will be coordinated by Loren Spíndola, Manager of Government Relations and Regulatory Affairs at IBM, and Eduardo Paranhos, from EPG Advogados. The online meeting will take place on May 27, at 10 am.
The WG aims to deepen the debate on the topic, in view of the launch of the Brazilian AI Strategy (EBIA) and in the face of debates on the regulation of the use of artificial intelligence technologies in Brazil and in the world. In addition, the group has the purpose of uniting its members, as well as positioning the entity with the main public and private actors active in the matter.
In this inaugural meeting, the first steps will be discussed and the thematic axes already mapped by the coordinators will be presented, who hope to receive contributions from all associates to combine experience and knowledge about trends and challenges in the Artificial Intelligence area.
