Event, organized by the Municipal Secretariat of People with Disabilities of São Paulo (SMPED), will be held in São Paulo, on the 19th, and will have the signing of the Declaration of Institutional Support and Dissemination to the Digital Accessibility Seal
 
 
ABES (Brazilian Association of Software Companies) is one of the supporting entities of the Seminar “New Paradigms in Digital Accessibility”, which will be held by the São Paulo Municipal Secretariat for People with Disabilities (SMPED) on June 19th, starting from 2 pm, at InovaBra Habitat, at Consolação.
 
“Digital inclusion projects are increasingly gaining ground in the market for software companies, which have endeavored to use technologies for the benefit of people with disabilities. The Seminar will be a unique opportunity to share experiences in this field and envision an increasingly more inclusive future ”, comments Jorge Sukarie, Chairman of the ABES Board, who will represent the entity at the event.
 
Sukarie will participate in the opening of the Seminar, when the signing ceremony of the Declaration of Institutional Support and Dissemination to the Digital Accessibility Seal, granted by SMPED, through the Permanent Accessibility Commission - CPA Digital, will take place.
 
The meeting will also bring together leaders in digital inclusion initiatives around the world. Among the confirmed entries are the names of James Thurston, Vice President of Global Strategy and Development at G3ict - The Global Initiative for Inclusive ICTs, and Simone Freire and William Daflita, of the Web for All Movement.
 
Another planned initiative is the presentation of the 2018 WSA Award, the largest award in digital content in the world, which has registrations open until August 19th. The entire Seminar will feature audio description and simultaneous translation into Libras and Portuguese.
