Hackatona is a marathon for the development of analysis, planning and management tools, applications for smartphones, tablets, among others, using data from GeoSampa - Geographic Information Portal of the City of São Paulo. The winning application for this marathon will be delivered for free use by the population.
The competition had two other finalists: Thomas Len Yuba developed the project "GeoSampa static file distribution model" and Alexandre Sahade Goncalves presented the "Rios DesCobertos - The rescue of the city's waters". The submitted works had the challenge of facilitating and qualifying the lives of the citizens of the city of São Paulo and were evaluated in five aspects: Public interest, Participatory monitoring, Creativity, Sustainability and Technical quality. The three projects were awarded specialization courses, startup mentoring, smartphones, tablets and computers.
The event, which lasted three days and was also supported by the Municipal Secretariat of Innovation and Technology (SMIT), brought together public managers, experienced professionals and new talents in the area of technology and information management in order to qualify the debate for proposing solutions for a smart, open and connected city.
Stimulating the startups market
