With institutional support from ABES, the LATAM Retail Show Congress & Expo takes place from August 27th to 29th, 2019, at Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo. The programming activities will address several themes: the evolution of retail, omnichannel, culture, leadership, innovation, consumer journey, data analytics, real estate, operational efficiency, shopping center, strip malls, distribution strategy, payment methods, blockchain , big data, among others. with code ABES10, associates and partners have a discount of 10% on the registration fee for the congress. On the 28th, “Entrepreneurship that transforms Brazil” will be the subject of debate with João Kepler, partner at Bossa Nova Investments; Daniel Funis, VP of Farfetch in Latin America; and José Carlos Semenzato, president of SMZTO Holding de Franchises.
 
Gene Deng, who was vice president of the JD Group and founder of the Hotel Tonight Special, is confirmed as one of the speakers. He is coming to Brazil to talk about “Perspectives and transformations of retail in China”, in a panel that will take place on August 28th. In addition to him, Kevin Peng, Secretary General of the China Chain Store & Franchise Association, is also confirmed on the panel.
 
Another special speaker is Eduardo Guardia, economist, former finance minister in 2018, after his predecessor Henrique Meirelles, leaving the leadership of the portfolio to run in the presidential elections, and current CEO BTG Pactual Asset Management. While holding the functions in the portfolio, Guardia contributed to improve the business environment in Brazil. On August 28, he will lead the panel: "The prospects for international investment in Brazil: which are the most promising markets".
