Data protection regulation comes into force on May 25 in Europe

In order to create a new data protection regime, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) was published in the European Union (EU) in 2016, applicable to all organizations established in Europe and , depending on the circumstances, also outside the limits of that territory. The regulation also applies to organizations established outside the EU but doing business in the region.

After a two-year adaptation period, the standard is expected to enter into force on May 25, 2018. However, there are still many doubts regarding the actions needed to align with the regulation.

Thus, to assist in the understanding of GDPR, its importance and its impact on companies associated with businesses, customers and partners in Europe, ABES announced its support for the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) course: how the new European legislation impacts Brazilian companies, which will be held by Opice Blum Trainings on May 10 and 11, from 9 am to 5 pm, in São Paulo. Members will receive a discount on the course fee (inquire about the promotional code through the ABES Relationship Center).

During the two days of the course, the schedule will cover everything from contextualizing data protection and GDPR, defining data according to regulation, corporate rules and contracts, data protection governance, as Europe is preparing, to data protection in practice. .
