Specialisterne, a company that enables the inclusion of professionals with autism in IT companies, promotes, on the 29th, in São Paulo, a Presentation Day of its training and inclusion work

The Brazilian Association of Software Companies (ABES) is one of the entities that support Specialisterne, a social organization whose mission is to generate job opportunities, in the area of Information Technology (IT), for people with autism.

Next Wednesday (29), Specialisterne will hold a Presentation Day, at its headquarters, in São Paulo (SP), in order to present more details about its training model and inclusion of people with autism in the labor market. .

“Specialisterne is a unique project, proof of how inclusion is not only possible, but that adds value to people and companies. ABES, as a representative of more than 2 thousand companies in the IT area, is immensely pleased to help promote this initiative. We hope that our associates will have the opportunity to follow the Journey of the 29th, a special event to better understand the cause and discover how they can make a difference and at the same time benefit their companies with the rare skills in mathematics, visual analysis of details, high power concentration, of people with autism ”, declares Francisco Camargo, president of ABES.

Created in Denmark, 13 years ago, by an IT director whose son has autism, the organization now operates in 17 countries, including Brazil. It is a Social company, in the Information Technology area, with the difference that all employees sent to the market are people with autism. “The spectrum of autism is quite broad. People with autism may have difficulties in communication and social interaction at different levels - some may have more severe limitations in speech, while others may express themselves well and have difficulty decoding some more implicit messages. Despite some restrictions, many people with autism are interested in working, in addition to skills and talents that excel in certain tasks ”, describes Fernanda Lima, Training Director at Specialisterne.

According to Fernanda, the talents found among people within the autism spectrum are also varied, but some frequent ones are refined logical reasoning, memory skills, ease of visual processing of information, ability to concentrate for prolonged periods, in addition to great honesty and integrity .

“These are very important virtues for several areas, such as IT. At Specialisterne, we receive people with autism (asperger and high functioning), over 18 years old and interested in working in the IT area. We offer a 5-month training course for them to enter the market, with continuous monitoring by psychologists and coaches.
Even after being hired by companies, we maintain this periodic work, as we don't just want to train good professionals for a specific job, but rather contribute to their development and social insertion ”, concludes Fernanda Lima.
