Agreement signed with Wenovate allows the association to join 50 large companies that support the innovation program

As part of its support program for incubators and startups, the Brazilian Association of Software Companies (ABES) announces its entry into the “100 Open Startups” movement, a program that aims to identify the most innovative startups and create a connection network between entrepreneurs, large companies and ten investment funds.

ABES has partnered with WENOVATE – Centro de Open Innovation Brasil, organizer of the “100 Open Startups”, and joins the group of 50 large companies and 55 associations that participate in the movement. Since 2013, ABES has invested in incubators that accelerate the development of Brazilian IT startups. The partnership aims to promote the union and integration of innovation and technology networks in the sector.

With programs that increase the capacity of startups, WENOVATE works with Innovation communities, offering people and institutions an environment of technology and methodologies that favor engagement and collaboration in Brazil.

“ABES has supported the startup movement, including a program to attract new associates aimed at nascent companies. We are interested in promoting the development of Brazilian companies through public policies and projects that generate growth. The partnership with Wenovate meets our mission to connect, guide, protect and develop the Brazilian software sector”, says Jorge Sukarie, president of ABES.

This is the fifth agreement that ABES holds this year between technology parks and associations with the aim of strengthening the sector in the country. This year, partnerships were also closed with the Belo Horizonte Technological Park (BH-Tec), the Digital Port of Pernambuco, the Itaipu Technological Park and Softsul.

“With the objective of mutual cooperation in favor of the Technology and Innovation market, this partnership only brings benefits to the members of the two entities and, consequently, to the entire sector”, comments Bruno Rondani, founder of Wenovate.
