Launch meeting will be on 12/8 at the entity's headquarters

 

ABES will launch the IoT Committee at a meeting on December 8, from 9 am to 12 pm, at the entity's headquarters, in São Paulo. The new ABES working group will be coordinated by Werter Padilha, President of Taggen. The objective of the initiative is to gather and disseminate knowledge about IoT, in addition to stimulating cooperation and articulation between associates, public authorities, research centers, aiming at the development of the ICT industry in IoT in Brazil, among other objectives.
 
An estimate made by Juniper Research indicates that the base of connected objects will reach 38.5 billion in the world by 2020. The study on trends ABES/IDC 2016 also says that this market in Brazil will move US$ 4.1 billion this year and that companies will migrate traditional applications such as telemetry and monitoring to the IoT paradigm.
 
Intelligent IoT systems impact industry, commerce, public management, medicine, agriculture, sports and even the home environment. They interact with the latest disruptive technologies developed: cloud computing, big data, mobility, information security, wearables and digital transformation. Among the challenges for entrepreneurs and users are: promoting the integration of these technologies and preparing companies to capitalize on the impacts of IoT on their businesses and on people's quality of life.
