With the support of the Federal and District Governments, Assespro Nacional won in 2012 the rights to organize the 20th World Congress of Information Technology - WCIT 2016, a global event that will be held for the first time in South America, with the expectation of bringing together 3 thousand participants from 80 countries.

We will strive to help the Brazilian edition exceed expectations and be a milestone in the history of WCIT”, highlights Jorge Sukarie, president of ABES.

Entrepreneurs, executives and world leaders will meet in Brasilia to discuss the future of the IT industry, network and do business. In addition to a consistent program, with themes that make up the international agenda of the ICT Industry, the Brazilian edition of WCIT will have as a differential a broad platform for generating business and attracting investments among global economies, which includes business roundtables and exhibition of TI at the event entrance.

In the 2014 edition, in Guadalajara, Mexico, WCIT generated more than U$ 95 million in business. With the support of APEX Brasil and Softex, the event will feature foreign delegations to get to know the Brazilian IT industry.

WCIT has been held since 1978 by WITSA - World Alliance for Information Technology and Services, an association that represents the main global technology companies, no less than 90% of the world ICT market and aims to strengthen the ICT industry and its associations through sharing strategic information and facilitating trade in products and services of its members in the international market.
