8-class, certificate course offers theory and practice on new data protection rulesSão Paulo, May 22, 2020 - ABES ACADEMY, the education and continuing education sector of ABES - Brazilian Association of Software Companies, is open for enrollment for the second class of the course General Data Protection Law: fundamentals and implementation.

With 100% online, the course will be taught by highly qualified professionals who bring legal, technical and practical knowledge and experience in relation to data protection, privacy and information security. There will be 8 classes, from 16 to 19 hours, from 25 to 28/05 and from 01 to 04/06, with a total workload of 24 hours. During the course, students will have contact with theory and, mainly, practical information for adapting the organization to the LGPD, highlighting the diagnostic steps, mapping the existing data held by the organization, defining procedures and processes, defining those responsible and governance .

According to Dr. Thomaz Côrte Real, a consultant in the legal department of ABES and one of the speakers, data protection is generating many professional opportunities for people who are specializing in LGPD, being able to work with consultancy or in the organizations themselves. "It is important to prepare the market and the people on the team who will be responsible for implementing the law's guidelines and good practices in the collection and storage of personal information that the legislation will require", he emphasizes.

ABES actively participated in the debates and consultations during the enactment of the LGPD and is involved in the actions that precede the entry into force of this law that aims to regulate and protect the use of personal data in Brazil, promoting increased privacy, the control of the entire operation carried out with personal data, including sensitive personal data.
