Organization selects Management, Communication, Education and ICT professionals for digital volunteering

CDI, a social organization with 21 years of experience in the field of digital empowerment of young people, has open enrollment for professionals who want to share their skills and experiences in the <\RE>Programa Voluntário CDI. With an innovative proposal for volunteering, which takes place at 100% online and via a digital platform, the objective is to train mentors to work with social educators, teachers and librarians, multipliers of the institution's programs.

Volunteers must be professionals in the areas of Management, Communication, Education or ICT (Information and Communication Technology) and have a collaborative profile. They will have the chance to boost the development of CDI multipliers while monitoring the progress of projects aimed at young people. The mentors will work this year with 150 teachers from the State Education Network of Rio de Janeiro, participants in the TecEscola Project – an initiative by CDI and B2W digital to support teachers in the use of technology in the classroom.

In this first phase of the program, 100 volunteers will be selected. “In the <\Re>Programa Voluntário CDI, we are reprogramming the way of doing volunteer work, usually with face-to-face and more assistance actions. In the digital format, volunteers have time flexibility and can carry out their activities from any location connected to the Internet. Therefore, people from all over Brazil are invited to be part of this great knowledge transfer network, in which both mentor and mentee learn and teach”, comments Alessandro Boia, coordinator of the Program.

After receiving specific training in the CDI methodology and in the use of ICT in Education, the volunteer will have their profile published on the TecEscola Digital Platform, where they can be requested by teachers for mentoring. This action may include the sharing of experiences and references to improve the project construction process and/or the development of teaching materials for the Platform Library.

People from all over the country within the desired profile must pre-register until August 31 through the website: www.tecescola.com. The selected professionals will participate in online training in September.

Aimed at digital empowerment, CDI is a social organization that seeks to train autonomous, aware and connected young people, able to reprogram the system in which they are inserted, through the use of technology. The organization works in partnership with community institutions, libraries and public schools to train multipliers in the CDI methodology, who replicate its programs for the final public. This large network promotes a new awareness to generate opportunities for young Brazilians. CDI is present in 7 countries and 9 Brazilian states and has impacted more than 1.68 million lives to date.
