Applications open for the Startup Campinas Award

 

Applications are now open for the 2nd edition of the Startup Campinas Award, which aims to encourage new business plans and innovative ideas to transform them into new ventures. Small companies, newly created or still in the formal constitution phase, which develop promising projects, linked to research, investigation and development of innovative ideas can apply. Applications are open until October 15, through the website. www.premiostartupcampinas.com.br, and startups based across the country can compete.
 
The second edition of the Startup Campinas Award is an initiative of the Secretariat of Economic, Social and Tourism Development and Cnova Brasil, with the support of Samsung, ACS (Associação Campinas Startups), IMA (Informática dos Municípios Associated), Ciesp-Campinas and Sebrae . Cnova Brasil, supporter of the award, develops online sales of products.
 
The selection will have two phases. In the first, entrepreneurs must send a business plan. For the second, the eight best projects will be selected, which must present the business plan to a judging panel, made up of specialists from Cnova, Sebrae City Hall and professionals in the technology area.
 
In 2014, the award aims to encourage information technologies aimed at mobile devices, e-commerce, web analytics, B2B, big data, logistics, among others, with developments that may be associated with solutions for the retail market, as well as for operations specific to public management.
