It is the only award aimed at scale-ups in Latin America who want to expand to the UK and Europe.

 

Applications are now open for the LatAm Edge Awards 2019, the only award for innovative Brazilian and Latin American scale-ups wishing to operate in the UK and European markets.
 
Interested companies can apply through the website. https://www.latamedge.com/ and check the necessary conditions to compete for the award, which is in its 4th edition — the command of the English language is mandatory.
 
Scale-ups from the smart cities, health, manufacturing, fintech, entertainment, agritech, games and creative tech sectors, with revenues or investments of more than US$ 1 million, are invited to participate — more than 160 companies from 29 countries have registered for the last year.
 
The £100,000 prize includes a free one-year office in London, as well as coaching, business development, legal assistance, accounting, digital marketing and PR services. The services are provided free of charge by a network formed by eight partner companies in London, in addition to the set of commercial support and support from the Latin American Chambers of Commerce in London.

Applications for the 2019 LatAm Edge Awards close on April 20, and the announcement of the 6 finalist scale-ups will be on April 30.
 
The 6 finalists will receive a free mentoring service from an English professional who specializes in preparing global companies for 3-minute pitches during the 2019 Latam Edge Award ceremony to be held in London on June 12. Ten English judges will choose the winner.
 
The winners of the past editions of the LatAm Edge Awards were the Mexican Biomitech (2018), for biological solutions to reduce atmospheric contaminants; the Brazilian Round Pegs (2017), a digital consulting company, and the Chilean TOC Biometrics, specialized in facial recognition and super-secure digital signatures.
