Interested parties have until July 31 to submit their projects.

Entries are now open for the second edition of the National Startup Contest, which aims to foster the Brazilian startup ecosystem, increase the visibility of this market in Brazil, contribute to the dynamism of the entrepreneurial environment, facilitate the creation of innovative companies, offer mentorship and guidance on business modelling, promoting angel investing, and disclosing funding sources and ways to access them. The deadline goes until July 31 through the website www.competicao.anjosdobrasil.net.

All registered projects will undergo evaluation by a judging committee, which will have to verify if the proposals are within the requirements established for the competition. Only projects that are from entrepreneurs over 18 years of age and companies that have been established for a maximum of two years or that have not yet been formalized will be validated, and that the ideas are innovative and with differentials. Business projects must have a well-structured plan and, as a minimum goal, operate throughout the Brazilian market.

After the first selection, the semifinalists will have guidance on the presentation pitch. The 50 pre-selected startups will receive a digital guide with tips to help prepare the presentation and the one-minute video of the second phase of the contest. The forecast is that as of October the ten finalists of the contest will be announced, who will also undergo mentoring and training on the pitch. The finalist startups will receive a 30-minute online mentoring session, via hangout, and a three-hour in-person group training, on the eve of the presentation, in Fortaleza (CE). On November 26, the finalists will participate in the 20th edition of the National Congress of Young Entrepreneurs, in the capital of Ceará, when they will present their ideas and projects.

The Contest is the result of a partnership between the National Confederation of Young Entrepreneurs (Conaje), Anjos do Brasil, ABStartups and Brazil Innovators.
