We have been in the ASPR, we use the expression professional to refer to the people who work with us; this was long before the COVID 19 pandemic. But does it make a difference? He does. Impact on culture!

There are those in the market who no longer use the term Human Resources, but Human Relations. To me this makes perfect sense. So, instead of HR Management, let's use Human Relations Management or People Management.

From the beginning of the pandemic, to the present day, therefore for three and a half years, changes, transformations and the technological revolution have had a profound and faster impact on People, positively and/or negatively, like everything. As a consequence, Organizations are greatly impacted.

Two points in the Management and Governance of Organizations, in my opinion, can and should be prioritized and valued, to increase and improve interaction, integration and (entrepreneurial) connection every day, or better yet, the interconnection of People with their Organization and vice versa and with others stakeholders.

The first point comes from the Difference between Purpose and Mission. However, People in the Organization must know that they work together.

To this end, I bring what Dr. Kléber Nobrega wrote in his article March 2022.

“I summarize here some conceptual and practical differences between purpose and mission:

  1. Mission responds whatthe organization does; purpose responds why the organization does what it does;
  2. Mission is about reason for being; purpose has to do with cause;
  3. Mission relates to products and services; purpose relates to reason to engagepeople;
  4. Mission is rational; purpose is emotional;
  5. Mission has external focus; purpose has internal focus;
  6. Mission has commercial focus; purpose has behavioral focus;
  7. Mission relates to customers; purpose relates to the teaminternal;
  8. Mission is about business, operation;purpose has to do with heart, soul;
  9. Mission is about strategy; purpose has to do with culture;
  10. Mission provokes involvement; purpose provokes belonging🇧🇷

For you, what is more important in an Organization: The Purpose or the Mission? And, which should come first?

Based on the Differences presented by Dr. Nobrega, it can be easily and quickly concluded that the Purpose is linked to internal, emotional, cultural issues, etc.

In my opinion, people being clear about this helps a lot in aspects such as: organizational climate, empowerment, belonging, productivity, etc. In short, it helps to enhance and stimulate socio-behavioral skills; those so valued soft skills.

The second point I highlight is the appreciation of ENDOMKT in relation to MKT. In my opinion, this can greatly benefit and make it easier to apply and always keep the first point (Purpose and Mission) updated, if they are very clear to the entire Organization Team.

For you, which should come first, ENDOMKT or MKT?

In this case, I gave my opinion in an article from April 2021. I stated and justified that ENDOMKT comes first. Know more.

CONCLUSION

THE PERSON (PROFESSIONAL) AT THE CENTER IN ORGANIZATIONS, necessarily goes through many different points and aspects, but certainly these two relevant points highlighted here are among them, in my opinion.
