Those who work with technology have certainly had the impression that things are changing more and more rapidly. For 80% of the more than 1,200 professionals and executives who participated in Perform Brasil 2018, the largest Digital Performance event in the country, this is exactly the reality. They find themselves in daily contact with digital transformation actions in their businesses. But what does this move mean for companies?

The first consequence is the emergence of more dynamic and difficult to control environments. After all, while digital transformation represents new business opportunities, innovations are also adding a number of challenges within operations, forcing companies to manage and understand an ever-changing and increasingly comprehensive environment.

Not surprisingly, surveys by Gartner indicate that the largest global companies are in an ongoing process of transforming their IT structures and systems. The point in question, however, is that the implementation of new technologies transforms the structures of companies in extremely complex environments, which need tools for complete monitoring and automatic performance management of all applications.

It is worth mentioning that this scenario is especially important with the rise of Cloud Computing. In the survey conducted during Perform Brasil, we observed that more than 65% of IT leaders have plans to expand their investments in solutions based on Cloud Computing in the short and medium term. What these companies are looking for, in short, is greater agility and savings generated by more flexible and mobile environments. Unlike a traditional local structure, which depends on investment in equipment, space and maintenance, Cloud servers have in fact proved to be an opportunity that adds greater capacity for expansion and availability of access to companies - even though they are physically out of the office.

Cloud applications are not the only point that deserves attention in this scenario. As digital stocks mature within companies, demand for smart solutions is expected to grow substantially as well. Artificial Intelligence (AI), for example, should be increasingly present with the advance of connected networks, with the Internet of Things (IoT), and the rise of new forms of relationship with customers, in offers based on chatbots and assistants. virtual.

IT leaders are facing a new scenario, in which knowing how to deal with larger volumes of data and the need to find mechanisms for the intelligent management of their ecosystems is essential. This means controlling an environment in continuous expansion and the need to adopt resources that guarantee the ability to predict, map and identify the root cause of the problems, preferably anticipating possible network failures or unforeseen events.

At the moment, totally hyperconnected and basically all based on Cloud, the old conceptions and plans of monitoring and management are losing space and practical efficiency. The more organizations reinforce their IT environments with new technologies and services, the greater the challenge will be to organize, scale and extract the real value of solutions and data in a complete and integrated way.

This is because the rise of digital tools has caused a great displacement and decentralization of information, increasing the complexity for the management of IT networks and infrastructures in organizations. With data more dispersed and spread across different spaces and formats, maintaining compliance and the unity of records becomes an important and especially challenging point for all companies.

To generate better results, companies need to understand in depth the options delivered by each of the new IT platforms and, more than that, rely on solutions that allow them to obtain the best way to integrate and make these innovations really assertive, from the point of view. return on investment view.

Innovating by innovating is not the effective solution for any business. The options are presented by the market, but it is the companies that need to assess which innovations are truly indicated and how these resources can add greater prominence and efficiency to their operations. The cards are on the table, or in some Cloud, but it is essential that leaders and experts work to be able to understand all the possibilities, using technology as a real business ally.
