With a record audience, ABES SOFTWARE CONFERENCE, held on September 18, 2017, in São Paulo, had as its central theme “Emerging Business: from Blockchain to IoT". The event featured a new business area, in which participation took part Micro Focus, Microsoft, Magic Software, Barracuda, Servnet and Magna Sistemas, who exposed their products and services.

Micro Focus highlighted its current portfolio of solutions, after the acquisition of the software division of HPE, a transaction that transformed it into the 7th largest software company in the world, with solutions for the segments of Devops, Technology Operations, Security and Information Governance , Cloud, Linux and Open Source.
 
“It was important to be at the conference for the opportunity to get closer to other players and to show the Brazilian market the new Micro Focus, after the merger was concluded”, explains Ana Siqueira, the company's marketing manager.
 
A British company, the company's current strategy, globally, is to combine powerful software assets to create a strong operational model and solutions that support the digital transformation of its customers. In addition to being an associate, the company became a partner of ABES in the service of the Audited Code Certificate.

With an institutional focus, Microsoft presented its report “Real Impact for a Better Future”, in which it highlights its commitment to Brazil and its pillars of operation in the Brazilian market, with actions and solutions aimed at Education and Entrepreneurship, Inclusive and Efficient Health and Public Security. The company maintains in the country the Microsoft Technology Center, six Innovation Centers and data centers dedicated to the operations of Office 365, Azure and Dynamics 365, among other facilities, in addition to developing promotion and social responsibility programs. The company integrates an ecosystem with more than 19 thousand companies, including partners and resellers.

Rodney Repullo, CEO of Magic Software, praised ABES 'initiative to promote the conference, since the association brings together the main companies in the technology segment and has all the credentials to promote this type of meeting.
 
“Our target audience is the technology companies that are here at the event, as we have a platform for integrating solutions. In our business model, it is essential to have partners and, here, we can establish new partnerships. Within this scenario of digital transformation, we offer technological conditions through our platform for the integration of the APIs, making them talk, so that the integration really happens ”, explained the executive.

With technologies to support companies and public management in their challenges for digital transformation, Magna Sistemas highlighted at the event its solutions and services for IoT and Smart Cities, in line with the central theme of the conference - emerging businesses: from blockchain to IoT.
 
Rodrigo Hanashiro, Director of Marketing and Alliances, explained that the company is a solutions provider with extensive experience in systems integration and also with a presence in the public sector. In this area, Magna has a successful case in mobility and an intelligent transport system, with the implementation of the Intelligent Control Center of the São Paulo State Transport Agency (ARTESP), through which the autarchy can monitor, in time real, the service and services of the state highway concessionaires and the fulfillment of the concession contract. This project was implemented in partnership with IBM Brazil. In addition to unifying data on traffic and various types of incidents, the center concentrates information sent by inspectors, who had their clipboards replaced by tablets.

Barracuda Networks, a North American company from Silicon Valley (USA), was present at the event together with its partner, Servnet, a Brazilian company that represents it nationwide. The highlight was the presentation of the line of security devices for IoT, developed to meet the needs of the fourth industrial revolution and digital transformation.
 
“Our devices bring security, visibility and control mechanisms to the industrial, commercial and domestic automation processes and, even, in different projects in smart cities, protecting networks against hacker attacks, including threats such as Wanna Cry. We can serve customers of different sizes, business verticals and economic sectors ”, emphasized Aldir Falheiros, Barracuda Partner Manager for Latin America.
 
According to Falheiros, the company's IoT security devices are enabled to connect to broadband networks, support large data traffic and can be powered by a secondary battery, essential to maintain security also in the event of a power cut. .
