Partnership between Match and ABES drives digital transformation in Brazil, connecting IT suppliers to a R$707.7 billion market
Initiative strengthens the Brazilian technological ecosystem, promoting innovation and competitiveness in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector
Sao Paulo, January 30, 2025 – The Brazilian Association of Software Companies (ABES), in partnership with Match , celebrates the results of the collaboration initiated in May last year, aimed at connecting technology suppliers with potential contractors. This initiative, which aims to promote digital transformation in Brazil and strengthen the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector, connected suppliers to a market that reached a turnover of R$707.7 billion in 2023, representing R$6.51 billion of the national GDP. The data is from Brazilian Software Market Study 2024, carried out by ABES in partnership with IDC, which also positions Brazil as the 10th largest global ICT market and responsible for 30% of the market in Latin America.
Since the beginning of the partnership, several strategic actions have been carried out to foster innovation and increase the competitiveness of the sector. Among the initiatives with the greatest impact is the creation of the ABES Match Seal, an exclusive recognition for suppliers that meet the quality and innovation criteria. “In addition, communication campaigns were conducted that increased the visibility of sellers in the national market and promoted networking through events such as business rounds, webinars and collaborative events”, explains Clara Savelli, project coordinator at ABES.
The partnership also resulted in market research that offered relevant insights into the behavior of the technological ecosystem. “Today, Match “Match connects more than 2,600 technology providers, ranging from startups to large companies in the sector, while ABES represents more than 2,000 active software and IT services companies. Together, the two entities access around 10% of ICT companies in Brazil, covering approximately 500,000 professionals in the sector”, says Rose Ramos, CEO of Match .
This synergy has consolidated the partnership as a strategic pillar for digital transformation and growth in the technology market. In addition to promoting business connections and fostering innovation, the initiative contributes to increasing the productivity and competitiveness of participating companies, in line with the digital advancement that drives the IT sector in the country.
“For 2025, new actions are planned, including the expansion of joint campaigns and events, new research to map trends and opportunities in the market, and new business rounds that encourage connections. Match’s commitment and ABES reinforces the importance of collaborative initiatives for the continuous development of the technology ecosystem in Brazil”, concludes Jamile.
