SAS Academic Week aims to showcase practical applications of SAS technologies and share knowledge that contributes to the training of qualified workers in Brazil
SAS, the leading data and AI company, is open for subscriptions for the 2024 edition of SAS Academic Week, a free online event that aims to deepen the knowledge of professors, students and researchers about the company's technologies aimed at academic and business areas. The presentations, which will be given by professors and professionals in the area of analytics and AI, will take place live between October 21 and 24 and are intended for anyone interested in expanding their knowledge about different applications of SAS technologies.
With a program that covers several aspects, participants will be able to attend lectures that cover everything from how to build a career in analytics to how SAS technologies can help in veterinary medicine, animal husbandry and the fight against money laundering. According to the 2023 survey, two of the positions that grew the most were: AI Specialists (1st position) and Data Scientists (6th position). According to SAS Academic Programs Manager, Deborah Vasconcellos, the increase in these opportunities is due to the change in companies' awareness. “In recent years, we have noticed that companies have increasingly valued the use of data to assist in decision-making,” she explains. “The heated demand brings great career opportunities for those who qualify,” she continues.
