Omie expands partnerships with universities to diversify its presence in the market

Students from institutions in the Nima Ecosystem, UNIFACP and Unoesc will be prepared for the job market with practical contact with the ERP Omie

THE Omie, cloud-based management system (ERP), through Omie.Academy, its education and community platform for entrepreneurs, announces expansion of its educational partnerships Around 620 students from UNIFACP (Paulínía University Center), Unoesc (Western University of Santa Catarina) and the Ânima Ecosystem, made up of 18 IES (Higher Education Institutions), including Anhembi Morumbi and São Judas Tadeu, will have practical classes with the Omie ERP.

The initiative allows access to ERP Omie, a business management tool that integrates and automates processes, and the experience of stages of company management in a practical and contextualized way with real market technologies - 90% of medium and large companies in Brazil already use some type of ERP, according to research by FGV.

Kaleu Florio, pedagogical coordinator at Omie.Academy, highlights that the new partnerships are in line with Omie’s efforts to support the education of new entrepreneurs and professionals. “The partnerships are in line with our mission to change the way management is done in Brazil. We bring technology, education and simplified banking services to companies and joining forces with renowned institutions is a big step,” he says.

Matheus Gravito, national manager of Dual Education at Ânima Educação, highlights the importance of including market tools in the academic environment. “Students need to go beyond operational understanding, focusing on decision-making, information analysis and how this impacts business, which requires greater learning, integration and analytical skills,” he explains.

Omie's partnership with educational institutions, which began in 2018 with the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais (PUC-Minas), has already served more than a thousand students and was intensified in early 2024. The plan is to reach more classrooms by the end of this year. “We estimate that we will reach more than 2 thousand students from 10 more colleges,” says Florio.
