Vockan Academy initiative allows institutions to use an ERP system as part of the student training process through a market tool
The São Paulo State University (Unesp), the Mato Grosso Federal Institute (IFMT) and the Federal University of the Jequitinhonha and Mucuri Valleys (UFVJM) are the first educational institutions to receive free access to QAD's integrated enterprise resource planning (ERP) software through a partnership with Vockan. The provision of access to the platform is part of the Vockan Academy initiative, which aims to expand students' practical training, prepare them for the job market and contribute broadly to society.
The initiative aims to integrate academic knowledge with the business world, promoting practical learning on the use of ERP systems among students and teachers. Through teaching activities in an environment that simulates real-world use in companies, the program connects the theory of the disciplines to the practical context, preparing students for the challenges of the job market.
The partnership benefits students in the Information Systems (UFVJM), Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems and Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (Unesp) and Bachelor's Degree in Administration and Information Systems, Technical Course Integrated with High School in Administration and Computer Networks (IFMT). "We want to contribute to the practical training of good professionals, so that they enter the job market having experienced real-life tools and can, based on them, develop complex projects in the most diverse segments", reveals Fabrício Oliveira, CEO of Vockan.
For Prof. Dr. Higor Amario, coordinator of the partnership with Vockan at Unesp, he emphasizes the strengthening of professional training. “By carrying out practical teaching activities, students will be able to have contact with a large-scale ERP system, used in large companies around the world.”
“This partnership is crucial to reduce the gap between theory and practice, contributing to the development of more prepared and innovative professionals”, highlights Rafael Santin, Head of the Computer Science Department at UFVJM.
Students in courses such as administration, accounting, logistics and engineering, for example, can also benefit from the partnership. Institutions that wish to be part of the Vockan Academy program can apply in this link:
