Selected institutions will receive up to R$200,000 to develop their respective projects
Applications are now open for the 2025 call for applications for the Diverse Science Program, an initiative promoted by the Embraer Institute that encourages the educational training of underrepresented social groups in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
“In the same way that innovation can fuel a country’s economic growth, diversity can boost a culture of innovation. These are the premises behind the Diverse Science Program, which joins other company initiatives with the aim of bringing opportunities to underrepresented groups,” says André Tachard, director of the Embraer Institute.
In its fourth edition, Ciência Diversa will choose projects from non-profit Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) from all over Brazil that benefit at least 70% women, self-declared black and brown people, people from the LGBTQIA+ community or people with disabilities (PCD).
The selected institutions will receive up to R$200,000 to develop their respective projects. The scope of the target audience, the potential for transformation in the reality of this audience, originality and the ability to continue after the Embraer Institute's contribution ends will be criteria observed during the selection of proposals.
Interested CSOs must register by September 27th on the website: www.institutoembraer.org.br . The selection result will be announced in December 2024.
