- Siemens promotes training and access to cutting-edge technologies in around 600 Senai units across the country;
- Training accelerates the careers of young talents and increases the competitiveness of the sector.
To promote the exchange of educational and innovative experiences with industry professionals, Siemens established a cooperation agreement with the National Industrial Learning Service (Senai) and provides support in training, technological modernization and support in technical decisions, since 2022. The partnership comes achieving success with the company's participation in projects in Senai's schools and Institutes of Innovation and Technology (ISI and IST). The initiatives include expanding the training calendar and boosting digital transformation, through access to technological solutions in almost 600 Senai units in the country.
In 2023, Siemens facilitated the largest technological standardization project for Senai's automation benches, which, with the support of learning systems manufacturer Exxer, began to be divided according to automation complexity standards N1, N2 and N3, making learning for students from the 273 participating units even more practical. Among the solutions incorporated into students' daily lives are lines such as WinCC Unified, SIMATIC PLCs, IOLink modules, HMIs, SITOP power supplies, RFID system and SCALANCE switches.
This training allows students to understand how to efficiently control and manage machines, equipment and industrial processes in real time, facilitating systems integration, increasing productivity, reducing costs and improving safety in industrial environments. The initiative also attracted the attention of Senati-Peru, an institution similar to Senai in Brazil, looking for a similar technology implementation model.

Continuing training throughout the country
Siemens' support for teaching cutting-edge technology at Senai extends from the north to the south of the country. At the Anchieta unit, in São Paulo, Siemens held an event together with PLMX Soluções and Axis Solutions to discuss the transformation of the industry, through digital twin technology for N2 plants, and brought together more than 200 teachers and students from twenty cities. In São Leopoldo, Rio Grande do Sul, Siemens supported the Senai Innovation Institute, where the company offers training and technology for software and control systems. In Ceará, the company promoted the first Workshop on “Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) for the Process Industry and the IEC 61511 standard”, at the Senai Maracanaú unit, focusing on the energy transition and safety scenario in the industry. For this year, at least four more major cooperations are planned with Senai units in the states of Paraná, São Paulo, Ceará and Pernambuco.

Senai students at DEX
In addition to the project to improve the structure of Senai schools, Siemens has also been contributing to the process of continuing education for students. One of the main ways young people get closer to the technologies of the future are visits to the Digital Experience Center (DEX), a catalyst for technology and innovation at the service of society. Combining the real and digital worlds, DEX brings together solutions that accelerate digitalization, in a space where it is possible to live an immersive experience and visualize the true meaning of technology with purpose, that is, one that positively impacts human beings. The objective is for visitors to understand the benefits of digitalization for the industry, accessing interactive content for each solution presented, such as the Digital Twin and the Industrial Metaverse, through complementary technologies, such as 3D modeling and virtual reality.
In addition to Siemens students, customers and partners, the DEX is open to society.
