The new functionality, called WhatsApp Business Calling, was presented during Meta Conversations, Meta's global business messaging conference, in São Paulo

THE Goal held in São Paulo the third edition of the conversations, its global business messaging conference on June 6th. During the event, Mark Zuckerberg announced new products, tools and features to the market, including the testing phase of Calls to Companies, which aims to further strengthen ties between companies and customers through voice communications, in addition to supporting the conversational strategy in more complex situations – when a call can help resolve them more quickly.

The new feature announced by Meta already has a use case. Banco Pan, in partnership with Blip, a conversational intelligence platform for messaging applications, participated in the pilot project of this functionality, together with Meta, and now offers the tool to all its customers. By implementing WhatsApp Business Calling (in English), Pan enables its sales representatives to connect in a more direct and personal way with the bank's customers, going beyond written messages, reinforcing credibility and trust in the solutions it offers.

Calls for Business is omnichannel and has an intuitive interface. It highlights the importance of voice communication and building meaningful and effective connections. Another option for the end customer to decide how they prefer to communicate with the companies they interact with.

“Currently, we are only working with the voice solution. It works like this: during a conversation with our sales platforms, customers can request a voice call with our representatives via WhatsApp. This way, our agents gain more agility to improve conversion rates and our customers win at the end of the day with their demands being met with complete convenience”, he states. André Carnevale, Executive Superintendent of Products at Banco PAN.
