C2n network core, developed by CPQD, is being incorporated into the integrator's offering, which operates in mission-critical markets in Brazil, USA and Chile

CPQD has just signed a new commercial partnership focusing on the C2n solution, a 4G/5G convergent network core developed with the aim of facilitating the implementation of private networks – and also the offering of fixed wireless access (FWA) services. in English). The new partner is CelPlan, a company that has been operating in the area of private networks for 31 years in mission-critical markets, such as energy and utilities, industry – mainly transformation – and intelligent transport systems, which include trains, highways, ports and airports. .

“We have a strong presence in these markets, characterized by the demand for very high availability in their operations, which operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week”, says Tom Luiz Araújo, commercial director at CelPlan Brasil. To meet these requirements, the company offers specialized consultancy services, with network assessment and sizing, application development, implementation and agnostic integration of private networks in various wireless technologies (5G, LTE, Wi-Fi, LoRaWAN, narrowband and radio links), integration of video monitoring and video analytics systems to the operation and maintenance of customer networks.

Araújo highlights that CelPlan works with equipment and solutions from different suppliers and that this was one of the factors that motivated the interest in C2n, from CPQD. “We are an agnostic integrator and C2n is an agnostic and multivendor solution”, he explains. “Furthermore, the CPQD solution was born from the concept of private networks and has a more suitable and attractive business model for companies interested in deploying their network”, he adds.

Tatiana Mesquita, responsible for C2n marketing at CPQD, also highlights the flexibility, robustness and reduced implementation cost (TCO) as important advantages provided by the solution. “As it can be integrated with equipment and solutions from different suppliers and does not depend on a very heavy IT infrastructure, the C2n network core facilitates the implementation of private networks by companies from different segments”, he states.

The agreement signed with CPQD provides for the offering of C2n, as part of CelPlan's portfolio of solutions, in the Brazilian markets and the United States and Chile – countries in which the company also operates. Furthermore, CelPlan is presenting the CPQD solution at its stand at the UTCAL Summit 2024, a major telecommunications and automation technology event for utilities taking place this week (between April 10th and 12th), at the Windsor Barra Hotel Convention Center , in Rio de Janeiro.
