Second edition of the course takes place in February

SAS, a leader in AI and analytics, resumes free online training in February to train university professors in the areas of engineering, mathematics and statistics across Brazil. Classes will start on 02/27, and Registration will be open at this link until 02/26, one day before. The aim is to train professionals to use the SAS Viya platform in research and academic teaching focused on the data area.

“Last year we had more than 200 participants graduate from our free training course for higher education teachers. For 2024, we decided to offer the training again, now in the learning trail format”, says Deborah Vasconcellos, manager of the global academic program at SAS. “Our goal is to equip professors at Brazilian universities with analytical skills — from the most basic to the most complex — through SAS Viya, so that, in the future, this knowledge can be multiplied in the classroom.”

Noting that SAS Viya is a cloud-based analytical platform with embedded artificial intelligence (AI), teachers will have the opportunity to apply the technology in favor of greater productivity and collaboration between users.

In addition to offering training, SAS also makes free software and educational resources available to facilitate learning and teaching data analysis. This supports academic initiatives, serving both professors and students interested in careers related to analytics and AI, helping Brazil with the existing workforce gap in these areas.
