New provides a holistic view and facilitates the automation of Kubernetes environments to  enable teams to deliver seamless, secure innovations faster

THE Dynatrace, a leader in unified observability and security, announces a new Kubernetes experience for platform engineering teams. Powered by the observability, security, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and automation capabilities of the Dynatrace® platform, it enables platform engineers to undertake a variety of initiatives:

– Deliver customized experiences for Kubernetes teams spanning all maturity levels, from experts to beginners, and ecosystems of all sizes, from a few to hundreds of clusters – including comprehensive visualizations and accurate responses to track and optimize health, performance and the security of clusters, nodes, namespaces and workloads.

– Enable predictive maintenance with automated workflows that leverage causal and predictive AI capabilities of the Dynatrace platform to detect and predict anomalies in Kubernetes clusters and automatically determine their root cause, empowering engineers to proactively resolve issues and avoid negative impacts on the end-user experience.

– Create a reliable, secure, and scalable Kubernetes environment for developers using self-service capabilities that support core DevSecOps processes, including automated quality gates and automated validation of builds, deployments, and releases based on service level objectives (Service -level Objectives – SLOs) specific to the company.

“The adoption of Kubernetes was critical in allowing us to manage, scale and automate the development of cloud-native applications, but it also introduced complexity,” says Alex Hibbitt, director of Engineering, SRE and Fulfillment at albelli-Photobox Group. “The Dynatrace platform works seamlessly with our Kubernetes environment and reduces its complexity by automating processes and providing real-time, AI-based responses. These capabilities have enabled our teams to shift focus from code maintenance and troubleshooting to delivering innovation. With the new Dynatrace Kubernetes experience, our platform engineering team will now be able to provide a secure and resilient in-house development platform that optimizes our developers' experiences so they can deliver more value to our customers, faster.”

According to Gartner®, “By 2026, 80% of large software engineering organizations will establish platform engineering teams as internal providers of services, components, and reusable tools for application delivery, compared to 45% in 2022″1. The Dynatrace platform, including its new Kubernetes Experience functionality, enables platform engineering teams to improve developer productivity and enable them to deliver high-quality software quickly and securely without the burden of managing complicated cloud-native architectures.

“With the new Dynatrace Kubernetes Experience, platform engineers can now visualize and manage their entire Kubernetes environment in a single location, leveraging AI-based responses and automation to proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact customers ,” says Steve Tack, Senior Vice President of Product Management at Dynatrace. “This provides platform engineers with powerful capabilities to manage the complexity inherent in cloud-native software development, enabling them to accelerate release cycles and help organizations innovate faster and more securely.”

The new Dynatrace Kubernetes Experience is expected to be generally available within 90 days of this announcement. More details about the new Dynatrace Kubernetes Experience are available on the Dynatrace blog.
