With the acquisition, the companies combine skills in an exclusive offer: NTT DATA Business Solutions with the transformation to SAP®S/4HANA and multiple tax solutions and Conexos with penetration into the foreign trade market

NTT DATA Business Solutions AG expands its own software portfolio (OwnIP) with the acquisition of Conexos, a leading company in the COMEX software market in Brazil. Founded in 1998, Conexos serves clients in the retail, trading, logistics, industrial and commodities sectors. The flagship is the Global Trade Management (GTM) software focused on the broad management of foreign trade, from visibility in international logistics to the most complex customs clearance controls, special regimes, exchange rate and taxation, all of this enhanced by more than 65 built-in robots.

The logistics of importing and exporting goods and commodities in Brazil are complex and extremely regulated. Furthermore, tax calculation and communication with Siscomex is unique compared to other countries. With the acquisition, both companies combine their competencies in a unique offering: NTT DATA Business Solutions enables the transformation to SAP®S/4HANA and offers multiple tax solutions. Conexos, with its GTM software, allows efficient and agile control of imports and exports, focused on optimizing processes with a commitment to raising the level of visibility, management and governance in our clients' COMEX transactions.

“With the acquisition of Conexos, we will strengthen the existing market in our focus country, which is Brazil. At the same time, we pursue our growth strategy in the software segment”, comments Norbert Rotter, CEO of NTT DATA Business Solutions and EVP of NTT DATA, Inc.®. “With Conexos, we will offer GTM software that effectively facilitates work, being easily integrated with SAP through its API structure”, he states.

Global trade is a complex system that involves the exchange of goods, services and capital across national borders. The multiplicity of participants, regulatory frameworks, tariffs and non-tariff barriers, such as quotas, embargoes, technical standards and customs procedures, create complex interactions. Conexos has developed a comprehensive Software as a Service (SaaS) composed of several modules, which automate import and export processes for customers. The objective is to simplify bureaucracy and facilitate the efficient processing of customs clearance procedures. The key differentiation lies in the synergistic collaboration of more than 65 integrated robots, which give the platform the assistance capacity, reducing the need for manual intervention, which avoids possible human errors.

In addition to having a variety of more than four thousand reports, which provide crucial support for strategic decisions. The result of this harmony is a remarkable agility in daily operational procedures and automated operation. As a result, we have strengthened the company's competitiveness, which positions itself energetically and assertively in the market.

“Conexos Cloud was developed with a focus on speed and flexibility, enabling the management of large volumes of data and processes necessary for a company's logistics system”, says Claudenir Scalzer, Founder & CEO of Conexos. “We have already started the first projects with customers using SAP. The merger with NTT DATA Business Solutions will provide us with a broad field of action for our products and a valuable opportunity to modernize our software for foreign trade”, he celebrates.

Ricardo Fachin, CEO of NTT DATA Business Solutions Brazil

The two companies signed a partnership on the GUEPARDO – Fostering Finance brand, a portfolio of hybrid products that combines cloud and on-premise components. “GUEPARDO Global Trade by Conexos is the result of this partnership”, explains Ricardo Fachin, CEO of NTT DATA Business Solutions Brasil. “It is a high-performance management platform, capable of automating up to 70% of the routines of the main foreign trade operators. As a single company, we now combine our deep experience even more strongly and attract more potential customers.”

With the acquisition, Conexos' more than 300 existing customers will move to NTT/NTT DATA Group. Geographic expansion into Latin America is a future objective, as Conexos software, currently only available in Brazil, is already adapted for Latin American companies, with additional versions in Spanish and English.
