The scene of lawyers surrounded by papers and overwhelmed with tasks will increasingly be part of the distant past. This is what Corejur guarantees, a lawtech based in Goiânia (GO) and with clients all over Brazil that was born to enhance the performance of lawyers and productivity in legal environments and organizations, such as law firms, legal departments of companies and public bodies.
“We developed the platform based on the identification of market needs and the limitations we perceived in management systems aimed at the legal area. We mapped a market opportunity to offer a platform that was extremely customizable in order to offer advanced automation of processes in the legal area, aligned with cutting-edge technological aspects”, highlights Renato Naves, founding partner of Corejur and CEO of the company.
The Corejur platform is made up of four unified automation modules in a single environment, with an intuitive interface. The modules are: 1) Management and modeling of flows and business processes (BPMS) and business rules engine (BRMS) to automate the end-to-end operation; 2) Native robotic automation (RPA); 3) Document Automation, allowing the automated and intelligent creation of pieces, such as contracts, public notices, opinions and other legal pieces; and 4) Built-in Artificial Intelligence to enhance the functioning of the other three modules.
Corejur and hyperautomation
“For this reason, Corejur delivers a level of automation that we consider the most advanced in the market, through automation of processes and documents, delivering solutions that add intelligence to decision-making. We deliver automation of processes, documents, robotization and artificial intelligence integrated in a single environment. Our platform allows the legal area to follow the path of hyperautomation with high performance”, emphasizes Renato Naves.
With Corejur, robots eliminate manual activity, act to record and prepare documents and artificial intelligence performs in-depth analyzes and contributes to decision-making. “Corejur was positioned as one of the smartest platforms in Brazil and we were among the two finalists in a technological ordering process funded by TCU – Federal Court of Auditors. We were the first company to launch the AI-powered lawyer that reads a legal brief and writes the brief without any human intervention.”, adds the CEO.
Corejur and ChatGPT
Artificial intelligence is present at various times in Corejur's processes, to handle PDF documents, extract objective data from documents in general, rewrite and summarize documents in general. The goal is to generate gains throughout all stages of a legal process.
In Renato's evaluation, ChatGPT presented a reality hitherto unknown to the general public, as it is a system capable of writing texts from scratch in natural language, discussing any subject. But there is a lack of depth on the topics, as it is an artificial intelligence created to talk to the user, to be generalist and still has limitations, such as the size of the documents that will be generated, for example.
“We develop focused artificial intelligence and are testing ChatGPT, which can help rewrite texts on Corejur, for example, and which can add functionality to the artificial intelligence created by us. At the end of the story, there will hardly be an AI that does everything, as the market works and needs different applications of artificial intelligence”, ponders Renato.
Talent training
“Human beings were made to think and shine. The biggest mistake in the world is to make a man a button pusher”. Based on this statement, Renato defends the need to guarantee education and generate quality jobs in the technological area. “Companies from different markets add technology and automation to their products, processes and services and need qualified employees. Brazil needs a serious investment in educational and professional training to quickly position itself as a vanguard on the world stage”, he defends.
CEIA and support from Embrapii
The executive also explained that Corejur had R&D support from CEIA – Center of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence, from the Federal University of Goiás, through the partnership established with Sebrae and Embrapii. “This project is in its second cycle, aiming at improving cutting-edge technologies at an international level, through the joint work carried out by the team of analysts and data scientists from Corejur and CEIA. We must commend this initiative from the public sphere for providing Embrapii's economic subsidy modality, which allowed us to enter into a project of this magnitude with millions of reais invested”, concludes Renato.
Currently, Corejur has in its client portfolio large law firms, companies and regional attorneys. Learn more on the website: corejur.com.br.
