ABES held this Wednesday (21/09) the Chat “Fostering innovation for the competitiveness of companies”, with the aim of sharing knowledge about innovation financing tools in Brazil. In addition, the event featured the launch of the new Digital Guide to Fostering Innovation, developed in partnership with ABGI Brasil consultancy. This is the 4th edition of the Guide, which has evolved to keep up with innovations in the innovative ecosystem and funding lines.
“The guide is focused on the information technology sector. This year, we also brought the lines directed to ESG, as this is a subject of growing interest and ABES is committed to encouraging actions that promote sustainability and social responsibility”, emphasized Jamile Sabatine Marques, Director of Innovation and Promotion of the entity.
Carina Leão, Tax Director at ABGI Brasil, a consultancy partner in the preparation of the Guide, highlighted that the platform provides information on the main instruments and programs to support innovation in Brazil. “We consider it fundamental that companies are aware of these instruments and the way they operate so that they can identify the one that best suits their business and market objectives.” he explained.
Newton Hamatsu, Finep's Innovation Superintendent, took part in the chat, working on Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs); Igor Manhães Nazareth, Director of Planning and Institutional Relations at Embrapii; and Fernanda Freitas, Innovation Coordinator at ABGI Brasil.
ABES aims to contribute to the construction of a Digital and Less Unequal Brazil, in which information technology plays a fundamental role in the democratization of knowledge and the creation of new opportunities for all, in an inclusive and egalitarian way. Therefore, our association has worked to ensure a business environment conducive to innovation, ethical, dynamic, sustainable and globally competitive.
