Oracle Brasil is looking for 40 candidates to be part of its Generation Oracle (GenO) program, focusing only on its principles and values
Oracle's internship program, Generation Oracle (GenO), opens enrollment for Latin America with the objective of developing the student within the company, to form the new generation of future employees of the company. With a history of recruiting candidates with different profiles, the program seeks to bring talent to the company based on its purposes. It is not necessary to send a CV to apply. For Brazil, there will be 40 places available in this third edition and registration is open until March 18.
For Alexandre Maioral, president of Oracle Brazil, “the third year of this program, which is so important for us, reinforces our commitment to having an Oracle that is increasingly inclusive and diverse. I am very proud to see these professionals entering through an internship and developing their careers at the company, helping to build the future of our company. We want to attract people compatible with our values and provide opportunities for them to grow professionally”.
Oracle focuses on encouraging the formation of a generation highlighting creativity, entrepreneurship and innovation, contemplating 85% of GenOs hired from previous editions after completing the program period. As of this new edition, Oracle introduces GenO-Pró, equivalent to a 24-month trainee program, in which interns hired in the previous program can be promoted to further develop in the company and train their leadership skills.
At the time of registration, candidates will already be able to choose between the four available areas that best match their profile, namely: Commercial, Technical Commercial, Technical Functional and Communication/Marketing.
In the area Commercial it is expected that the student enjoys interacting with different people and consumers, and will have the challenge of creating relationship bridges with them, in order to achieve their goals. It is necessary to be agile and versatile to adapt to the great changes in the market. Now to the area Technical Commercial the student is expected to have a passion for innovation and technology. Your main point will be to identify customer problems and suggest the best Oracle solutions, in a more technical way, but without abandoning good communication.
For those who register in the area Technical Functional, it is expected that you have a great passion for technology, with a more programming profile, so that you can learn about the various Oracle Cloud solutions and propose innovations, with the objective of continuing to guarantee an excellent level of customer satisfaction. And finally, the area of Communication and Marketing, the candidate is expected to be creative and engaged to develop their storytelling skills, collaborate with internal and external communication and assist the company in planning the new formats and channels that are imposed in this new digital dynamic.
The selection process consists of five steps in total, four of which are completely 'blind'. The candidate only reveals his identity in the last stage, in which he will meet professionals from the four areas. The internship can be carried out entirely in distance work, making it possible for candidates from all over the country to apply.
Stories from previous editions:
“The GenO program represents a big change in my life in general. Not only because it allowed me to have financial independence, but also because I developed myself as a person and as a professional. To be a GenO there is no previous professional experience requirement, so having the support of all the employees was essential for my growth in the company. Overall, it is already Oracle's culture to help each other, pass on knowledge and generate a multiplier network. But, as a GenO, I can say that this was the biggest of the several important factors of the program”, comments Agnes Helena (21), Human Resources analyst, who participated in GenO in the year 2020.
“I already had a consolidated career, but a little before I was 30 I decided to take a marketing course at USP and I loved it. But for that, I would need to quit my current job and invest in an internship to graduate. I was encountering some problems because of my physical appearance and my age. Oracle was a find for me, it was the place where I learned that I could be myself, precisely because the employees have a very horizontal relationship. It's amazing how much the company really invests in people, giving them the opportunity and freedom to work in an area they don't have experience in, which will start from scratch. For my future, I hope to create my career at the company and consolidate myself in it”, says Luiz de Oliveira (36), Cloud Infrastructure and Cloud Engineer at Oracle Brazil, who participated in GenO in 2019.
