3D Max, Maya, Flare and Flame are some of the solutions adopted by the post-producer to finish their films with more innovation

Creating scenes with characters, objects and giving realistic movements are some of the challenges of the audiovisual industry. To produce magnificent works such as films, series and television commercials with advanced visual effects, O2 Pós, post-production company of O2 Filmes, implemented Autodesk – entertainment solutions such as 3DMAX, MAYA, FLARE and FLAME with the help of Brsoftware , one of the most traditional and expert Autodesk partners in the country.

Brasoftware has been working with Autodesk since the 1990s and works with the entire portfolio of Autodesk solutions, from pre-sales, through consulting services: “We help our customers with support, connection with the manufacturer and in the use of all contracted technology. We help companies like O2 Pós, to answer questions about the solutions, as well as to direct the best application of each one of the resources facing the needs of their business”, says Guilherme Donati, leader of the Autodesk partnership at Brasoftware.

3D Max models 3D objects and scenes with advanced modeling tools; Maya lets you create scenes with realistic characters, objects and movements. Flame is a visual effects software that enables the finishing and color grading of scenes; and Flame, in turn, offers powerful compositing, visual effects, and finishing tools through an integrated authoring environment that enables faster compositing, advanced graphics, color correction, and more.

Responsible for the post-production of several films, O2 has always used these resources in their work routine, for example, creating entire digital sets from scratch or cleaning and adding elements to an already filmed scene. “The gain is in practicality, agility and reliability when using software like these. These solutions are of great importance to our work. Before, flame, for example, was a closed solution, which brought limitations for those who worked with this tool. With the partnership with Brasoftware, we were able to build a use and innovation plan, aligned with plausible commercial scenarios for our business, which resulted in a much more strategic partnership for our production company”, comments Thiago Corá, Lead Flame Artist and Effects Supervisor at O2 Post.
