With know-how in the capital markets, owner of the Epitychia family office and founder of the Ser Educacional group will have the mission of helping in the investor's business strategy
Bossanova Investimentos, a micro venture capital company that invests in pre-seed startups with operations across the country, announces the arrival of businessman Janguiê Diniz in its board of shareholders with the acquisition of 25% from the company for an undisclosed amount. Bossanova is a partner of the ABES Startup Internship Program.
From this new step, the investor intends to accelerate its mission to democratize access to capital through serial investments in the initial stage. And this will be possible due to all of Janguiê's expertise and know-how in the capital market. Owner of the Epitychia family office and founder of the Ser Educacional group, considered the largest in the Higher Education sector in the North and Northeast and one of the largest in the country, the entrepreneur will have the responsibility to help in the business strategy and management of the investor.
As of next Monday (26), Janguiê is already actively working at Bossanova. “It is very good to see how my relationship with Bossanova has been built and strengthened over the past few years, always based on trust and partnership, and which culminated in this society. I hope to collaborate with the growth of the entire group and also help to stimulate Brazilian startups, as we know the potential that our country has in this field ”, he evaluates.
Janguiê Diniz's trajectory was based on education. He holds a master's and doctor's degree in law from UFPE, was a Federal Labor Judge, Public Prosecutor of the Union and professor at the Federal University of Pernambuco - UFPE. In 2003, he created the Faculdade Maurício de Nassau, an embryo of the Ser Educacional group - today one of the largest higher education groups in the country and which has been listed on the Stock Exchange since 2013. In addition to being a founder, Janguiê holds the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of the group. In 2014, he created Epitychia, his family office focused on Private Equity, Venture Capital and Real Estate and based in São Paulo. He has already invested in several startups and companies with scalable business models. He is also the founder and president of Instituto Êxito de Empreendedorismo, a non-profit organization that works to promote entrepreneurial education by offering free online courses to help needy young people, especially in public schools, to undertake life and business.
Founded in 2015 with the addition of the start-up portfolio of angel investors João Kepler and Pierre Schurmann, Bossanova was designed to fill a gap between the initial contributions that startups receive and the investment rounds they carry out when the operation is already consolidated.
According to João Kepler, CEO of the investor, although Janguiê already has investments with Bossanova in several startups, now they decided to take this bigger and more important step to conquer new projects. “He is a businessman with great experience and success who came to add us with his vision and knowledge in the capital market, as he already has a company listed on the Stock Exchange. We are very happy with this addition that will contribute to the growth of Bossanova and the Brazilian startup ecosystem ”, concludes Kepler.
