Dassault Systèmes announced that the remainder of NuoDB shares has been acquired, expanding its shareholding to 16%. Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts, NuoDB provides a distributed SQL database native to the Cloud that exploits the competitive advantages of a Cloud environment, with scalability, continuous availability and transactional consistency for mission critical applications.

“We appreciate our longstanding strategic relationship with Dassault Systèmes and are proud to serve the growing installed base of Cloud customers. Today's announcement marks an exciting new phase in our partnership and creates significant opportunities for NuoDB, ”says Bob Walmsley, CEO of NuoDB. “Through our combined and expanded resources, we can accelerate the development of our product to make a greater contribution to distributed SQL databases in MultiCloud environments, including new services to enhance the business of strategic customers.”

“One of the objectives of the 3DEXPERIENCE Cloud platform is to provide the most scalable and resilient infrastructure for the segments and customers we serve worldwide,” says Florence Hu-Aubigny, Executive Vice President of Research and Development at Dassault Systèmes. "We started working with NuoDB in 2013 and now we are expanding our partnership, offering even more the distributed SQL resources exclusive to NuoDB and already adapted for Cloud environments".

“Temenos and NuoDB have been working extremely closely together since they became strategic technology partners in 2018. We will continue to work together to provide our customers with the market-leading NuoDB SQL database, which we use as part of our Cloud and SaaS (Softwaree as Service) offer ”, says Colin Jarrett, Cloud Director at Temenos. “Through NuoDB, our Cloud customers can benefit from a flexible, expandable and continuously available database at various Cloud providers with failover downtime close to zero. Recent Benchmarks have shown that banks running Temenos software using NuoDB database technology benefit from the unlimited processing power of a market leader and significantly lower total cost of ownership. We look forward to continuing our partnership with NuoDB for many years ”.
