The construction of a strong corporate culture and aligned with the guidelines of good practices is one of the fundamental elements for the consolidation of leading companies in the segment. For this reason, Seal Telecom, a multinational provider of systems integration, has invested in improving its compliance program. As a consequence, the company has just won the CertiGov transparency certification, a seal that attests to the company's integrity actions in its processes, politics and ethics. With the seal, Seal Telecom promotes the security of its performance chain for public tenders with the government, and anticipates the growing demand for compliance practices from suppliers in the public and private sectors.
Despite the difficulties imposed by the pandemic, Seal Telecom updated its code of conduct, which has existed since 2011, and invested heavily in remote training for more than 500 employees. In addition, it restructured its global compliance area, which reaches seven countries, with the arrival of new professionals such as, for example, Dr. Carolina Biron, Head of Compliance Latam at the company. “Due to the work of the compliance area that has been done at Seal Telecom, we look for CertiGov, which is a confirmation of all the dedication and commitment of the team. However, we believe that the compliance program is much bigger than the certification, which comes to stamp the reality from within the company and open paths according to the demands of the market ”celebrates the executive.
According to CertiGov, the companies that obtain the certificate attest to their position against corruption and against bribery, demonstrating transparency, commitment and having the concepts disseminated throughout the organization and with their employees, with the implementation of good practices for reduce the risk of involvement in illegal actions. Seal Telecom's certification process included a detailed assessment of processes, risks and adherence to rigorous standards of integrity and training, in addition to analyzing the commitment of the management and the company's culture.
“CertiGov is an important seal not only for the company, but also for all its suppliers, partners, customers, including the government itself, and others who are part of its relationships in the business. It brings more security and reduces risks in transactions ”, says Carolina Utida, Director CertiGov.
