Even with the turbulent period of crisis and recession that the country is going through, some sectors continue to maintain satisfactory hiring rates. The IT market is one of the areas that remains heated and operating intensively.

Vacancies in the IT area have always been a matter of debate, as this sector in Brazil has already suffered a lot from gaps in hiring. Demand has always been high and labor has not met demand. There was a lack of qualified professionals for not so common positions. Not long ago, we even followed the migration of labor from outside the country to meet this need.

Over the years and with the acceleration of teaching and training of specialized professionals, the scenario has acquired a new perspective – much more optimistic than in other sectors. Technology companies that arrive in Brazil, or even national ones, already have professionals with excellent training and experience at their command. However, more than a good preparatory course, experience in the area, fluency in other languages and a good curriculum, the IT professional must present characteristics that transcend all these requirements, such as:

1. Knowledge
Among the characteristics we look for in these professionals is a passion for technology and a constant thirst for learning and knowledge. It may seem obvious, but a candidate who knows how to demonstrate that he has the knowledge and expertise to apply it, even at the time of the interview, can earn some points over his competitors.

2. Dominance over the business
More than knowledge of their specific functions, companies want professionals who are increasingly aware of the company's business. Therefore, it is interesting that candidates have mastery over the organization as a whole, and not just with regard to their area. Integrating the company's areas can speed up the delivery of projects, which is a positive point for the professional.

3. Communication
Another important feature is having high communication skills. Good communication at the time of the interview is essential, and it can also be a chance for success and growth within the company, as the professional can work in partnership with other leaders. Noise can compromise projects and cause damage that is difficult to reverse.

4. Be the change administrator
Technology is the field of transformation and therefore IT processes change frequently. Those who work in this area must be prepared to manage the changes that happen on a daily basis. Being bold and proposing changes in the route are also signs that the professional thinks beyond, and can help the company's growth.

5. Be the King of Big Data
Big Data is one of the most talked about topics in recent times. A professional with training and strategy to manage and analyze the data of a company or market stands out in relation to other candidates for the vacancy. Training in the concept on the subject must be exemplary, and experience in data governance, essential.

6. Power of decision
More than a good academic background, the professional must have strong power of resolution and control. A broad view of the business will help exactly in making decisions, which will be much more likely to be assertive.

7. Relationship
It's not just what the professional says about himself that we take into account. What the market says about their professional trajectory can translate who the candidate is, helping the recruiter define their personality traits and behavior. Therefore, maintaining a good relationship is extremely important, and therefore, this is a highly valued characteristic in this professional.

8. Innovation
The new profile of the IT professional calls for a much bolder person, less attached to the known structures within this sector. He must have an entrepreneurial vision, creating new service portfolios for the company and improving the services already offered. Innovation must leave the paper and go into practice in the hands of this professional. For this, the domain of the team is also fundamental.
