Brazilian companies with a startup culture come out ahead in the preference of the new generation

According to Microsoft research, young millennials – also known as Generation Y or the internet generation, born between 1980 and 1995 – are a big influence on IT companies. They aim to prioritize technology in their work and thus optimize the transformation within the area. As a result, millennials make changes within the organization through new technologies, expansion of skills, work procedures, among other changes.

These young people also expect their employers to give them freedom in creating and executing jobs – according to the survey, 88% of millennials say their organizations' current IT policies and procedures do not allow them to use creativity as they wish.

Brazilians innovate to get the attention of millennials

In Brazil, companies with a startup culture already have this perception and have innovated in the way of attracting and retaining the talents of this generation. FCamara – a Brazilian company that transforms IT problems into innovative solutions – for example, bets on millennials to form an innovative and winning “elite team”. There are already more than 500 employees and most of them are between 20 and 30 years old – many are already in leadership positions, regardless of age.

The company is among the 10 best SMEs to work for by the Love Mondays Ranking and has already served the largest e-commerces in Brazil, including: Netshoes, Walmart, and Riachuelo. “We bet on young millennials because we know they are capable of doing a good job combined with great management, as well as the most experienced. We understand that intellectual capital is essential for the growth of a company and that's why we ask that these young employees have a lot of willpower and curiosity to discover the world. Throughout the year, we offer several trainings and workshops, to help even more in the areas of leadership, philosophy and management”, explains Fábio Camara, CEO of the company.

Training Program

Another great attraction of the company is the Training Program. Through it, new talents are selected to participate in a 3-month paid internship, in which they are inserted into real projects and solve challenges similar to those they would encounter in the company's work routine. Trainees receive training and guidance through philosophical coaching given by company consultants and the CEO himself. Those who complete the program and stand out are invited to join the team, being effectively hired.

“We want to train these young talents to form successful teams. At FCamara we value diversity and work horizontally, encouraging people to grow personally and professionally. We are committed to having these professionals in our company for a minimum of 2 years, as we believe that this time is a positive investment for both sides - the company that counts on the excellence of the trained candidate's work and the professional who knows he is inserted. in an environment where his ideas will be heard and where he finds good opportunities for growth and development”, concludes Camara.
